Your Privacy & Data at SymptomSense

Health information is sensitive. This page explains, plainly and honestly, what SymptomSense does with your data — and reflects how the service actually works today.

Medical disclaimer

SymptomSense is an AI-powered informational tool and is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified doctor. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately — in India, call 108 or 112.

What health data we process

Using SymptomSense without signing up

You can use the triage tool without creating an account. In that case your activity is tied to an anonymous session identifier rather than to a named profile, and your symptom text, any uploaded lab report, and the AI's analysis are stored against that session so the results page can show them to you. Guest sessions are limited to one lab-report upload; creating an account lets you upload more.

How your data is protected in transit

All traffic between your browser and SymptomSense travels over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.

What happens to an uploaded lab report

How an uploaded lab report is handled depends on which tool you use:

Which AI reads your data

SymptomSense uses Google's Gemini AI to analyse symptoms and read lab reports. When you run the triage or lab analysis, your symptom text and any uploaded report are sent to the Gemini API for processing, and the result is returned to you. As stated in our Privacy Policy, we request ephemeral processing where possible, but we do not control how third-party AI providers store or use data under their own terms.

What we never do

SymptomSense does not sell your health data, and there is no mechanism in the service that shares your symptom information or lab reports with other users or with advertisers.

Deleting your data

If you would like your session data or an uploaded lab report deleted, email medmindin@gmail.com and we will remove it.
